Glandex® Glossary - Impacted Anal Glands

Anal gland impaction occurs when the anal glands are unable to empty on their own due to an abnormally thick secretion of the glands. Once the anal glands become impacted they will require treatment by a veterinarian to express or remove the impacted material.
